Proud to say I’ve have the pleasure to work with this brilliant young Director: Angeline Gragasin. And her new venture THE ANIMALS is in the final stage of raising production funds via Kickstarter. I can’t wait to see the film, but while we wait, send her $5…it’s way more fun than that new bottle of shampoo you’ve been meaning to pick up.

Furthermore a lovely blog for the play-by-play, Meeeow!

I will always love Digital Kitchen for their title sequence to “Six Feet Under”…seered in my heart for life. BUT I really appreciate this irreverent reel/ish bit they just posted//»

Almost a f*u to the sales-y reels of flash & splash that become the calling card of any mograph company. Of course, they’re DK–they can do whatever they damn well please. Get down, DK, get down.

Well the office is officially ready for the summer grind.

Yeah, I geeked out on this bladeless Dyson “air multiplier.” No really, that’s its name. Not particularly more quiet than a regular fan, but it’s definitely got as much chutzpah as those hand-driers that make the skin of your knuckles ripple like Old Glory flapping in the breeze on the 4th of July. I’m such a sucker for good design and regulating temperature.

Cheers, mate.

Awoke to a dreary and wet day here in Chicago, and the sad news that the legendary Gil Scott-Heron has passed on. ((Still so relevant to modern hip-hop, he’s got a whole track on Kanye’s new Dark Twisted…)) Below is Chris Cunningham’s entrancing video remix of “New York is Killing Me.” Turn the lights down and set this baby to fullscreen…

“The catchphrase, what that was all about, “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” that was about the fact that the first change that takes place is in your mind. You have to change your mind before you change the way you live and the way you move. So when we said that “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” we were saying that the thing that’s gonna change people is something that no one will ever be able to capture on film. It will just be something that you see, and all of a sudden you realize I’m on the wrong page, or I’m on the right page but I’m on the wrong note, and I’ve got to get in sync with everyone else to understand what’s happening in this country.” –Gil Scott-Heron RIP

Thanks to my girl @Mar_Har for posting the CC vid.

What’s 100x better than a music video!? A live performance interacting with video…superbly graphic in design, timed to kill.
(And don’t even pretend like you don’t love this woman…)

YES, Beyonce with some super-tight motion gfx–laced choreography. I can only imagine how hard it was to execute the sync…mad respect, lady. It must have been so fun designing this interaction with the choreographers and B…I’ll post some credit as soon as I figure out who’s responsible for the “easy part.”

I’m in the market for a new vehicle, and the mini cooper I was lusting after just wasn’t///zoomy enough. Perhaps a VW
a squishy one:

For those of you who don’t know my story, I spent a lot of ‘o7 and ‘o8 on the ground doing my media-diligence to get people fired up about the guy we wanted to be POTUS–both outside and then inside the campaign.

So the following video came up in conversation today…and I just have to admit: this was my favorite guilty pleasure video of all the media that came out of that wild race. No, it’s not that Will.i.am song…

I guess that means I should share some ancient animation from my vault as well. You could say I really cut my teeth as an animator making these Obama vids with CRO; what a crazy time.

Starting to hear the rumblings of 2012 campaign getting their media together here in Chicago. There will never be another 2008, but I’m interested to see what people are feeling 4 years later… Maybe America is finally ready for those purple tube tops.

Genuis little analog “animation” machines.
Super fun visual flavor…totally diggin the track too.

And YEAH, this guy is barely out of college. Nice one ADAM, go get it!
